Materials Overview

EPS

Example of EPS material

EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) is one of the most cost-effective materials on the market. Its wide range of properties make it an excellent choice in an endless number of applications. Protective packaging, insulated containers, displays, components, safety helmets, buoys, building insulation and insulating concrete forms (ICFs) are just a few of the wide range of uses for EPS.

  • Excellent Cushioning
  • Excellent noise and thermal insulation
  • Non-abrasive to delicate parts
  • Recyclable
  • Can be run to tight tolerances
  • Water resistant
  • Significant labor savings compared to alternative materials
  • Compressive Strength
  • Lightweight for reduced handling/shipping costs

ARCEL

Example of ARCEL material

ARCEL is a moldable copolymer foam which is resistant to tearing, puncturing, cracking and flaking. Strong and durable, ARCEL offers long-term reusability, and low compressive creep makes it ideal for long-term stacking. ARCEL’s cushioning capabilities absorb shocks without decreasing its protective effieciency, making it an excellent option for extreme conditions, heavyweight items or reusable trays. It is used to cushion and protect objects from small, delicate instruments to huge, heavy products.

  • Excellent Cushioning
  • Extremely durable
  • Reusable
  • Non-abrasive to delicate parts
  • Competitive with other resilient materials
  • Recyclable
  • Significant labor savings compared to alternative materials
  • Lightweight for reduced handling/shipping costs

Variable Properties

A number of additives and capabilities are available for specialized applications with the above foams, including:

  • Color for use in displays, retail and internal components
  • Anti-Static for use in industries such as electronics
  • Modified for flame resistance, for use in industries such as construction
  • Density can be adjusted to meet different product needs
  • Recycled Content can be incorporated into almost any application
  • Insert molding for use when other items need to be molded into the item
  • Coatings or adhering other materials
