Polyfoam Injection Molding Achieves ISO 9001 Registration

Northbridge, MA — Polyfoam Corporation announced that it achieved ISO 9001 registration of its quality system at its Cranston, RI injection molding facility. To receive ISO registration, Polyfoam had to meet stringent standards in manufacturing and quality control, as well as develop recording procedures that ensure a high standard will be maintained.

Polyfoam continued its commitment to superior world-class quality in 1997 when its Northbridge, MA facility became the first foam molding operation in the US to receive ISO 9001 registration.

“We are highly dedicated to quality in all areas of our organization, and it’s been a priority since Day-One,” states Tom Coz, President of Polyfoam Corporation. “Our design and manufacturing capabilities are unsurpassed, and standardizing our processes ensures ongoing consistency, continual improvement and increased efficiency. As we make changes and additions to our operations, we make sure they fall in line with this commitment.”

Developed by the International Organization for Standardization in Geneva, Switzerland, the worldwide ISO 9001 standards have been established for quality assurance in design/development, production, installation and service. In order to be in compliance, a company must meet numerous requirements in this area. They must set policies, develop procedures to meet those policies, and establish record systems to provide proof that the procedures are maintained.

Established in 1974, Polyfoam produces molded EPS (expanded polystyrene) and injection molded products that are used throughout the country for packaging, components, construction, and unique and innovative applications. With attaining ISO 9001, the company continues its commitment to bring customers superior, consistent quality at competitive prices.
